The Edge, Rocky Patel (short review)

"The secret to creativity is knowing how to hide your sources."
-Albert Einstein

Day 3 of the no natural gas situation out here, so I celebrated by pulling "The Edge" out of my coolidor. I felt like it would be a good representation of the end-time-like situation out here. I've been holding on to this one for a while, because frankly I thought I was too wimpy to handle it. Looking at this stick, I just got the feeling that It was going to be heavy and strong, and with a name like "The Edge" who could blame me?

Lighting up and taking the first draw I was pleasantly surprised. This was actually one of the more smooth, subtle, and softer smokes I've had in a while. Hard to pick out individual notes, but here's a list of what I did notice during the smoke:

Roasted coffee
Soft dark chocolate
and a bit of tanned leather
All together, little to no classic barn notes

Stats:

Wrapper: Corojo or Maduro
Binder: Nicaragua
Filler: Secret
Sizes:
Toro 6 x 52
Torpedo
6 x 52
Battalion 6 x 60

Last note: many thanks to ISmith75 over at cigarasylum for sending this to me in my first pack of cigars.
